The largest of our Vernonias, forming a 6' wide, uniform, bushy, upright mound of long, narrow dark green leaves. Excellent resistance to rust and powdery mildew keeps this nativar looking fine all season. Large clusters of dark purple flowers attract numerous pollinators. Received 5 stars in Chicago Botanic Garden trials. Breeder: Dr. Jim Ault.
