Phlox 'Pink Pearl'

Phlox-Hybrid Garden

This delightful sport of ÔMinnie PearlÕ was given to us by retired plantsman Al Christ of Lakeland Nursery and has quickly become one of our favorite new nativars. It retains the exceptionally disease resistant, glossy green foliage and slowly spreading, upright habit of its parent, but blooms with masses of fragrant, pearly pink blossoms.

  • PGR rates to achieve sufficient control are higher on Phlox; begin applications early in the crop cycle

Pot by mid-spring to make sure plants are well-rooted before summer. Grow with a medium EC to minimize rapid growth and long internodes. Cut plants back to promote lateral branching or use PGRs to control height.
