Coreopsis UpTick™ Yellow & Red ('Baluptowed' PP28865)

Tickseed

Winners of numerous industry and trial awards, UpTick Coreopsis are quick to finish, very resistant to powdery mildew, and require no vernalization or PGRs in production. Their dark green foliage is neatly mounded, maintaining their shape naturally throughout the season as they bloom continuously with impressively large flowers. Yellow & Red bears radiant yellow flowers with a well-defined, maroon eye. This native cultivar is attractive to pollinators, but not to deer. It's a must-have for every sunny landscape. Breeder: Darwin Perennials

Grower Information

Coreopsis is a spring planted crop but it requires some heat and light to break dormancy. While dormant, keep them on the dry side until they begin to leaf out, then provide average moisture once they are actively growing. Though each cultivar varies in height, it is best to pinch them all 1-2 times to promote branching. Plants can be sheared in production to stage crops for incremental sales.
