This tall, elegant, native fern is easily recognizable by its cinnamon stick-like, fertile fronds which arise from the center of the vase-shaped clump of bright green fronds in late spring. Begins the season with attractive fiddleheads; ends with brief gold fall color. Colonizes slowly in moist to wet soil.
