Stachys monieri 'Hummelo'

(Syn: Stachys officinalis)
Betony-Common

A sometimes overlooked, but picture perfect perennial that deserves wider use. Tidy, dense clumps of rugose green leaves are topped with vivid rose purple flower spikes in summer. They make excellent cut flowers and attract pollinators. A great low maintenance plant to recommend to beginner gardeners. 2019 Perennial Plant Association Plant of the Year.
