Coreopsis tripteris 'Gold Standard'

Tickseed-Tall

Rising to the top of introducer Mt. Cuba Center's trials, this shorter selection offers excellent hardiness and disease resistance like the species but in shorter, sturdier, longer blooming package. Forms a slowly spreading clump of attractive green foliage topped with masses of yellow flowers with dark cones late in the season.

Grower Information

Coreopsis is a spring planted crop but it requires some heat and light to break dormancy. While dormant, keep them on the dry side until they begin to leaf out, then provide average moisture once they are actively growing. Though each cultivar varies in height, it is best to pinch them all 1-2 times to promote branching. Plants can be sheared in production to stage crops for incremental sales.
