Rich royal-purple blooms from June through August over aromatic foliage. Grows well in the border, near ponds or streams, and in wild or meadow gardens. Its sweetly scented flowers attract hummingbirds, bees and butterflies. Prefers rich, moist, well-drained soil. Exhibits excellent mildew resistance.
