Landscaping Staples

We produce Stonehouse PowerPlugs for many landscaping staples. The large soil mass, well-developed roots and bulky crowns give our plugs the ability to go directly into the ground. They can buffer the shocks of planting and establish themselves quickly in the garden bed. Plus the plugs are cone-shaped, making them easy to insert into the soil.

  • StaplesGeraniums are ideal landscaping perennials for several reasons:

    • Low, thick hedge of foliage suppresses weeds. Most are drought-tolerant once established.
    • No major pests or diseases.
    • Grow densely, yet not invasive.
    • Emerge very early in the spring and die back very late.
    • Heavy carpet of blooms over the leaves in the spring.
    • Brightly colored foliage in the fall.
    • In many places they are nearly evergreen.
